Oya L Sherrills is the Project Director and Survivor’s Advocate at The Reverence Project where she has spent the past 5 years engaging hundreds of victims/survivors of crime through alternative healing practices, leadership development, and advocacy. Oya has 12 years of exceptional experience in Project Coordination, Advocacy and Organizing especially in servicing low-income and trauma impacted communities of color. Additionally, she is a published author and poet. Inspired by her families peace work in the Watts community, empassioned by the murder of her brother and molded by personal experiences of domestic violence, sexual assault and community violence.
