Tamara Wallace is the Senior Manager for the Energy, Sustainability, and Transportation unit within the California State University (CSU) Office of the Chancellor. During her 15-year career in sustainability and climate action, Tamara’s work in carbon reduction and climate resilience has been action-oriented through partner-building and implementation strategies. She is supervising the development of the CSU Climate Action Grants & Loans Program to pursue external funds prioritizing carbon reduction and campus resilience campus infrastructure projects. She sits on the project team that developed the first-of-its-kind Climate Resilient Infrastructure Guidelines and Framework for CSU, represents CSU with the statewide Alliance of Regional Collaboratives for Climate Adaptation (ARCCA), and is a sitting member of the Executive Committee for the Environmental and Climate Change Literacy Projects (ECCLPS) CSU-UC partnership. Tamara was elected to AASHE’s STARS Steering Committee serving as Chair, and successfully advocated for the adoption of STARS as the benchmarking standard to institutionalize sustainability through CSU policy, the largest public 4-year university in the country. Tamara is Co-Founder, past Managing editor, and is now Advising Editor for the CSU Journal of Sustainability and Climate Change. She is a CSU double-alumna, LEED Green Associate, and Certified Change Management Practitioner.
