The need for accelerated efforts to reduce carbon emissions from building operations is critical! While all-electric codes and standards help push new construction towards carbon neutral operations, all-electric building requirements can pose unique challenges to multi-family housing developers and designers. Limits to grid connections, inflated first costs, compliance modeling, and lack of experience with newer MEP systems and equipment are just some of the hurdles these teams encounter. As a followup to Green Dinosaur’s presentation on the challenges and hurdles faced by all-electric multi-family housing developments, this Table Talk session will continue the conversation and dive deeper into the subject matter as participants share their experience and insights on how we can find simple solutions to the challenges of electrifying multi-family housing developments both large and small.
